The lake is 5km long and 1km wide. It is the largest lake above 800m in the Dolomites.                                         Nature is the queen of  Molveno, at all seasons: woods of beeches, larches and fir-trees tinge  the variegated landscape with a  green hue. From the beaches or any other point in the village one can admire the true beauty of the lake, a blue mirror in which the highest tops of the Brenta Dolomites are reflected.

	This is the most western of the Dolomite groups, destination to many an excursion since last century.
