on their part would cut trees and firewood. The big trunks were cut by hand with
big saws, they were barked
and then brought down-valley along
special paths, called “tovi”. |

These paths, which were often
artificially-made, led to work places in the woods and high in the pastures and
were used to transport products: trunks, dry leaves for the bedding of domestic
animals (the so-called farlet) and then tree branches used to support
bean-plants. |

the past years all these activities have undergone inevitable changes and many
have been completely given up. |
